What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teen Seasonal Coordinators - Southern Recreation & Leisure Services position at The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission?
Plan, organize, and implement structured teen programs, workshops, and special events. Develop monthly activity calendars and coordinate site programming schedules. Supervise teen participants and ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Serve as a positive role model and actively promote youth development principles. Establish and maintain effective relationships with teens, families, community partners, and staff. Track attendance, maintain accurate records, and complete required reports in a timely manner. Monitor program supplies and assist with inventory control and purchasing requests. Assist with outreach efforts to increase teen participation and community engagement. Support off-site trips, mobile programming, and special initiatives as assigned. Ensure compliance with Commission policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Experience working with teens in recreation, education, mentoring, or youth development settings. Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate programs.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Education, Human Services, or related field. Valid Driver’s License.
