The Office of Senator Antonio Hayes is seeking a Legislative Director to manage the Senator’s legislative portfolio during the 90-day Maryland General Assembly session. This role is ideal for someone with strong policy analysis, writing, and legislative research skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: 4 days/week
- In-person in Annapolis Tuesday–Thursday
- Monday or Friday may be remote, with some in-person days as needed
Compensation: $200/day (total $11,200 for session)
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and tracking legislation
- Preparing hearing materials and talking points
- Coordinating with stakeholders and agencies
- Attending hearings and meetings and providing summaries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with the Maryland General Assembly preferred
