Assistant Montessori Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. At Marlboro Montessori Academy, we are committed to nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—within a warm, collaborative Montessori environment. We serve children from 18 months to 6th grade and focus on providing a hands-on, child-centered learning experience rooted in the Montessori philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and prepared classroom environment.
• Guide and observe children as they work independently and in small groups.
• Help with daily routines such as arrival, dismissal, snack, and transitions.
• Model respectful and positive communication with children, parents, and staff.
• Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

✅Passion for early childhood education and child development
✅ Experience working with children (Montessori experience a plus but not required)
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor's in Education preferred)
✅ Must pass background check and be eligible to work in the U.S.
✅ CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
