Staffing Scheduler Job Specification:
The Staffing Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and managing the staffing needs of our facility. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a commitment to ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet resident care requirements.
Staffing Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules for nursing and support staff.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate staff availability, vacation requests, and unforeseen absences.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding schedule changes, updates, and requests for shift coverage.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, time-off requests, and scheduling preferences.
- Collaborate with HR and management to ensure compliance with staffing policies and regulations.
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding new staff members as required.
Staffing Scheduler Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a Scheduler or in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
