The Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a motivated and dependable full-time 2nd shift Cook to join our Culinary team. In this role, you’ll help prepare high-quality food while working alongside a team that takes pride in consistency, presentation, and delivering great guest experiences.

Schedule & Pay
- Starting pay: $18.00/hour, based on experience, with opportunities for advancement
- Full-time position (30–40 hours/week)
- 1st Shift: 5:30 AM – 02:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Weekend and holiday availability required

What You’ll Do
As a Cook, you’ll play an important role in delivering consistent, high-quality food across restaurant and banquet operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Set up and maintain your station before, during, and after service
- Ensure food is prepared and plated in a timely and consistent manner
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist with preparation of soups, stocks, sauces, and daily specials
- Support banquet and outlet production as needed
- Monitor inventory and communicate needs to kitchen leadership
- Work collaboratively with culinary team members to ensure smooth service
- Assist with minimizing food waste and maximizing product usage
- Follow all safety and kitchen procedures
