The MI’s Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME USA) is a signature initiative of the MI, supported by a dedicated team.


FAME is a distinct model of skills training used to develop the next generation of technicians for advanced manufacturing. The Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program is the flagship training program of this model and is used by hundreds of manufacturers across the country to develop global-best multiskilled technicians; a Process Technician program is currently being piloted to expand training opportunities into new specialties. The FAME USA network is currently comprised of nearly four dozen chapters across 17 states; chapters have employers, colleges, and community organizations all supporting the program locally. Additional geographies are seeking to launch chapters each year, with the network having experienced phenomenal growth over the past four years.


Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Institute (MI) is seeking a Manager, FAME USA to play an important role in advancing the success and scalability of the FAME USA network. This position is designed for an individual who thrives on keeping teams organized, data accurate, and projects moving forward. The Manager, FAME USA will focus on project coordination, data management, and CRM-driven insights that help ensure the team remains informed, aligned, and positioned for impact.

This role is central to maintaining momentum across chapter development and ongoing program support, as well as internal planning and reporting.

  • Help the team operate efficiently by coordinating tasks, tracking progress toward milestones, and maintaining accurate, organized data systems.
  • Assist in cleaning, sorting, and managing information in the CRM and LMS to generate insights and reports that strengthen communication and follow-up with partners and stakeholders.
  • Organize complex information, anticipate needs, and support concurrent projects will help sustain FAME USA’s reputation for excellence as we continue to expand this nationally recognized workforce development model.
  • Help manage workflows, timelines, and deliverables, while also supporting data collection, clean up, and reporting that inform strategic decisions and demonstrate program outcomes.
  • Monitoring key project deadlines and helping ensure team accountability through shared tools and systems
  • Managing and maintaining key databases and systems, including the FAME USA CRM and learning management system (LMS)
  • Organizing digital assets such as templates, reports, and similar resources
  • Assisting with data collection and compilation to support program tracking and improvement
  • Manage requests for information from various internal teams
  • Supporting other programs and related activities under the MI Workforce Solutions portfolio

We are looking for an ambitious team players who meets the following criteria:

  • Three plus years of work history, preferably with experience in workforce development and (or) nonprofit or membership associations
  • Experience using CRM software; experience with HubSpot is preferred.
  • A willingness to learn new skills, tools, and processes: you will be performing multiple tasks using a variety of software applications for a variety of projects for a variety of stakeholders—both internal and external.
  • Backend experience with an LMS is preferred but not required
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools—particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Travel is occasional and always with appropriate planning time.
  • A team-first attitude with a service-oriented mindset. This work is collaborative and mission-driven, and success is built on trust and responsiveness.

Salary Range: $74,000 - $83,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position. The final salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
