We are seeking a Tool & Die Maker III for our first shift position. Our schedule is Monday through Friday, 10-hour days starting at 6:00 am until 4:00 pm. We provide an excellent hourly rate and phenomenal benefits! Tool & Die Journeyman papers not required, but a willingness to obtain the Journeyman Certification is a plus!

Position Summary
The Tool and Die Machinist is responsible for fabrication and maintenance of all tools and dies used in the production process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Set up and operate machines to fabricate metal parts, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics and layout techniques
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, regulations, and processes and identifies opportunities for improvement
- Ability to select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material on machines such as grinders, mills lathes and shapers
- Fabricate parts using standard machinist equipment including lathe, grinders and drill presses
- Read blueprints, sketches, drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, the sequence of operations and setup requirements
- Visualize finished product and communicate potential design errors or issues
- Dismantle defective machines/equipment and tooling. Diagnose repair needs and repair, install new or rebuilt parts. Reassemble, setup and test machines via trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings
- Notify supervisor of any obstacles in productivity, maintenance issues, etc
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a Tool and Die field
- Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of machine shop theories
- Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly
- Must have familiarity of OSHA regulations
- Familiarity with all current health and safety regulations
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations
- A self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the plant
- Ability to stand for 10 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work well with others
