The Agriculture Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from proposal through completion, mentoring staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and serving as a key point of contact for clients. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role will actively support client relationships and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage agricultural-focused engineering projects, including AutoCAD-based design, permitting, and construction observation and certification
- Serve as a primary client contact, providing clear communication, project updates, and technical guidance
- Support business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in due diligence activities
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and production staff to ensure successful project delivery
- Oversee and manage contract budgets and project financial performance
- Mentor, develop, and manage staff while supporting office and company growth initiatives
- Perform and oversee general civil, agricultural, and environmental engineering design work
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary MSG teams including Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Civil, Agricultural, Traffic, Transportation, and Construction Services
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred
- 5–10 years of relevant engineering and project management experience
- Strong AutoCAD design experience
- Proven ability to manage projects, staff, and budgets effectively
- Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in a team-oriented environment
