Room Attendant

The Manhattan Club, New York City’s first Timeshare property is seeking a Room Attendant. This is a full-time position and candidates must be flexible and able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Room Attendants will perform all cleaning duties including but not limited to:

· Dusting, polishing, sweeping, washing, mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, vending, and other work areas ensuring that The Manhattan Club standards and appropriate health standards are met.

· Making beds (including cots, rollaways, cribs, and pullout couches); this requires the mattress to be lifted slightly in order to tuck the linens underneath.

· Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily.

· Load, run, and unload dishwasher as needed.

· Carry and restock linen, towels, toilet items, amenities, and cleaning supplies.

· Provide guests with specialty items such as cots, cribs, rollaway beds, boards and irons, hair dryers, extra linen and terry, and other items as necessary.

· Check all drawers, closets, and under beds for items left behind by previous guests.

· Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.

Additional Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

· Knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate effectively in face to face situations as well as read instructions.

· Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (7 hours or more).

· Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching, stretching, stooping, handling, and gripping is required. Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 25 lbs. Ability to occasionally lift or carry more than 25 lbs.

· Ability to walk down two flights of stairs and walk up one flight of stairs.

· Ability to arrange things in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.

· Adhere to dress code policies as outlined in the employee handbook and maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
