Responsibilities:
- Teaching:
Instructing individuals or small groups in swimming techniques, stroke correction, and water safety.
- Lesson Planning:
Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to different student skill levels and needs.
- Assessment:
Evaluating student progress, adjusting lesson plans accordingly, and providing regular feedback.
- Safety:
Ensuring a safe swim environment by enforcing pool rules, monitoring student activities, and being vigilant about potential hazards.
- Communication:
Communicating effectively with students, parents, and other staff members about student progress, concerns, and overall program details.
- Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, progress, and any relevant incidents.
- Customer Service:
Providing excellent customer service to students and their families, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Ongoing Learning:
Staying up-to-date on the latest swimming techniques and safety standards through continued training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Current CPR, Lifeguard, and First Aide Certification with AED.
- Ability to react calmly, confidently, and effectively in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated ability to apply lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 45 lbs.
