This position is accountable for troubleshooting, repairs and performing preventive maintenance relative to the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems, physical structural elements of the center, and various housekeeping tasks.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Routinely inspects facility, troubleshoots and makes basic repairs to the mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and plumbing systems, as well as any structural elements on the property
• Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities on the interior/exterior areas of the property including, but not limited to, painting, drywall, structural elements, including parking lot and sidewalks, plumbing repairs, clears drain stoppages, interior and exterior lighting including lamp, fuse and ballast replacement
• Operate various equipment to perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs and maintain cleanliness of property. Including scissor lifts, boom lifts, cleaning equipment, drills, saws, plumbing augers, etc.
• Assist other departments, including Marketing, with events, Local Leasing with placement and repair of carts. Housekeeping to ensure the center is clean and ready for customers. Security to help maintain the security vehicles.
• Performs exterior custodial duties as needed.
• Maintenance staff are essential for the completion of sidewalk snow removal during winter months. Employees must have reliable transportation / ability to report for work.
• Assist with trash pickup on the exterior of the building around ponds, turf panels, and flower beds.
• Gather trash and empty trash receptacles; operate compactor and turn trash carts
• May perform additional maintenance duties as assigned
• Assist other departments, including but not limited to Marketing; with events and local leasing placement
• Repair of RMU's and Kiosks when applicable
• Helping the Security Department maintain security vehicles
• Exterior Custodial Duties as needed
• Maintenance Staff are essential for the completion of sidewalk snow removal during winter months

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Technical School certifications and/or training preferred (but not necessary).
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Trade experience is a plus in performing some carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Paint, electrical, plumbing, and drywall skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems
• Knowledge of safety rules, hazards and application of accident prevention measures
• Willingness to learn and continue to grow personal and trade skills.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full Time

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday (Subject to change dependent upon the needs of the Shopping Center)
