Essential Duties
- Creates journal entries, analyzes, and reconciles general ledger accounts for monthly and annual financial close.
- Prepare financial statements and ensure all entries comply with GAAP.
- Review accuracy of financial data before distribution.
- Analyze inventory activity, standard costing variances, and fixed assets related to manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, and New Product teams.
- Support continuous improvement across manufacturing cost processes.
- Sales and tax filings.
- Support Controller with the annual budget process.
- Ensure compliance with financial institution requirements.
- Manage fixed assets and inventory accounting.
- Facilitate insurance renewals and prepare materials for audits.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Manufacturing or Cost Accounting Experience preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP, ERP Systems (Oracle strongly preferred), and Sage Fixed Assets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
