About the Opportunity
Our client, a highly respected and diversified real estate development and investment firm, is seeking an Acquisitions Senior Analyst/Associate to join its growing team in the Washington DC area. With a strong track record spanning more than 15 million square feet of commercial office, multifamily residential, retail, and mixed-use developments, the firm has built its reputation on excellence, innovation, and a commitment to its core values.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the evaluation, acquisition, and financing of high-profile real estate investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with senior management and executive leadership throughout the acquisition and financing lifecycle for multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, and retail real estate projects.
- Develop and analyze complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, project returns, and capital structures.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analyses, and due diligence investigations to support investment decisions.
- Collaboratively underwrite acquisitions, prepare investment memoranda, and present recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the transaction process, including development, construction, legal, and asset management professionals.
- Support debt and equity financing activities, including lender and investor communications.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting critical deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong real estate finance and investment analysis experience.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ARGUS.
- Experience performing market analysis, underwriting, and due diligence for commercial real estate transactions.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high level of initiative.
- Experience with institutional-quality real estate investments is preferred.
