Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness standards in all food preparation areas
- Assist with meal assembly, portioning, and garnishing to ensure consistency and quality
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth service flow
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
- Adhere strictly to dietary requirements and menu specifications while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings; dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
