Assistant Water Treatment Operator (Ohio)

Location: Mineral Ridge, Ohio (on-site)
Schedule: Full-time; rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; occasional on‑call as assigned

What You’ll Do
- Operate and monitor water treatment processes and equipment; record readings in SCADA and manual logs; escalate issues promptly
- Collect samples and perform basic lab tests (e.g., turbidity, pH, disinfectant residuals); document results accurately to support compliance
- Assist with routine preventive maintenance, inspections, filter backwashes, and minor repairs; keep work areas clean and safe
- Handle and store treatment chemicals safely; follow SOPs, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Complete daily logs, checklists, and reports; support regulatory and reporting requirements for the Ohio EPA
- Support after-hours/emergency response as needed
Must-haves
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in water/wastewater systems, utilities, industrial operations, or laboratory environment; or equivalent training

Pay: From $19.01 per hour
