The Luxe Affair is a fast growing wedding and event planning company that operates in the Capital Region, Upstate NY, and Hudson Valley. We provide full service planning, day of coordination, and design services for our couples.
A lead wedding planner position is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to become a wedding planner. This role is strictly part-time contracted work. You'll be able to pick and choose what weekends you would like to work. We are looking for 2 planners to join our team for the 2026 season.
This position will serve as a lead planner to provide wedding planning services to our couples. You will work alongside our assistant planners and provide the following services at each event:
Help create the timeline for the overall event
Be an advocate for our couple and keep them calm throughout the day. You are to help take care of any issues that may arise on the day.
Oversee setup / breakdown of each event and each location of events. Sometimes a wedding ceremony will take place at one location with the reception at another.
Greet and Direct all Vendors
Communicate all setup needs / instructions with all the vendors
Setting up seating charts, menu cards, table numbers, favors, guest book, and other decor
Assist wedding party and family with any needs, questions, or concerns.
Ensure end of night arrangements are made for gifts, guestbook, any personal decor the clients provided.
Be able to orchestrate the ceremony rehearsal the day / night before.
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST be able to work weekends.
MUST have your own reliable transporation.
Must have 2 years experience in the event industry
Must have strong communication skills and be detailed oriented
Must be able to life 30 lbs.
Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 12 per week
