The Lutheran Home is hiring for our Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) position. During 12-hour shifts, you will provide care and daily support to our residents, guided by our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with daily personal care functions
- Assist with the feeding of residents
- Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale
- Assist in turning and positioning of residents
- Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen)
- Help keep residents' rooms clean and supplied
- Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied)
- Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance
- Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity
- Answer residents' calls and take appropriate action
- Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident's conditions or incidents to the nurse
- Communicate residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner
In this full-time role, you'll follow a consistent two-week schedule, working 7 out of 14 days with a three-day weekend every other week. Available shifts include:
- Day shift: 6:45 am to 7:15 pm
- Night shift: 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18
- Current Missouri CNA Certification
