The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is an independent, non-profit biomedical research organization located in Torrance, California. In dozens of laboratories throughout the campus, researchers are working to unravel the mysteries of heart and kidney disease, cardiac complications in newborns, chronic lung disease, skin cancer, sickle cell disease, disorders of the autoimmune system, and much more. Many of these projects are collaborative in nature, involving experts from different areas of specialization. Our discoveries have prevented blindness in newborns, enabled premature infants with fragile lungs to breathe and allowed children with rare, often fatal diseases to grow up healthy and strong.

Requirements
- Completion of an accredited ACGME accredited residency
- MD
- Board certified in Addiction
- Experience with substance use curriculum
- Experience with educating residents and medical student
- Experience using motivational interviewing and trauma informed care
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to perform detailed work and monitor for errors
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple and soetimes conflicting deadlines
- Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner
- Demonstrated cooperative behavior and positive-problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to read and interpret guidelines from the DHS CCL and SAMHSA for dissemination to learners
- Exceptional writing proficiency. - Capable of rapid learning and independent operation with minimal supervision; highly self-motivated.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of department faculty and residency leadership and learners
- Ability to resolve complex problems independently
- Work to develop curriculum for the following areas:
- Professionalism
- Communication
- Medical Knowledge
- Skilled in handling a large volume of project priorities, working on multiple tasks simultaneously, and shifting priorities as needed
- Experience working in a medical/clinical setting and familiarity with medical terminology. Has knowledge in hospital operation administration
- Responsible for all aspects of management from initiation through completion of projects
- Prepare presentations as well as reports for meetings
- Participate in monthly or weekly to quarterly committee meetings, provide status updates, communicate with mentors, and other persons related to curriculum delivery.
