SUMMARY
We are seeking a hands-on, bilingual (English/Spanish) Production Supervisor to lead daily
operations across kitchen production and meal production team. This role is responsible for
executing production plans, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and driving efficiency
on the floor.
This is not a passive oversight leadership role. This person is expected to spend more than 80%
of their time working with the teams in their work centers, lead from the floor, build structure in a
fast-paced environment, and hold teams accountable to standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership & Execution
• Oversee daily kitchen and meal production team operations to ensure production targets are
met
• Execute production plans based on volume, staffing, and timing requirements
• Monitor throughput, identify bottlenecks, and adjust in real time
• Ensure teams are set up for success at shift start (staffing, materials, equipment)
Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a bilingual workforce (English/Spanish)
• Provide clear direction, expectations, and feedback throughout the shift
• Enforce attendance, performance, and behavioral standards
• Train and develop leads and frontline employees
Food Safety & HACCP Compliance
• Enforce all food safety protocols, including cooking, cooling, and handling procedures
• Ensure compliance with HACCP plans and regulatory requirements
• Verify temperature logs, CCP checks, and corrective actions are completed accurately
• Partner with QA to maintain audit readiness at all times
Quality Assurance
• Ensure product quality meets company and customer standards
• Monitor consistency, portioning, labeling, and packaging
• Address quality issues immediately and implement corrective actions
Process Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies in production flow, labor utilization, and material handling
• Implement practical process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste
• Standardize work where possible and reinforce adherence to SOPs
Inventory & Material Management
• Coordinate with inventory/warehouse teams to ensure materials are available for production
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimize waste
• Support accurate inventory practices and proper product handling/storage
Safety & Compliance
• Enforce warehouse and kitchen safety standards at all times
• Ensure proper use of equipment, PPE, and safe work practices
• Address unsafe conditions immediately
Qualifications
Required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (able to lead and train in both languages)
• 3–7 years of experience in food manufacturing or high-volume food production
• Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, quality assurance, and production flow
• Experience supervising both kitchen and meal production teams
• Comfortable being on the floor for the majority of the shift
Preferred
• Experience in ready-to-eat (RTE) or fresh meal production
• Experience with inventory systems, ERP, or production tracking tools
• Experience implementing process improvements or standard work
• Experience creating and implementing SOPs
