Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across designated areas.
- Use specialized cleaning equipment such as buffers and floor polishers to maintain floors in pristine condition.
- Conduct custodial tasks like restocking supplies, sanitizing restrooms, and ensuring common areas are hygienic.
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects that require heavy-duty cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, flooring, or other infrastructure.
- Maintain safety protocols during cleaning procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors.
- Occasionally assist with residential painting or minor repairs to support overall property upkeep.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and general upkeep.
- Experience with Porter duties or facilities support roles is advantageous.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow specific cleaning protocols.
