Job Summary
Loveland Center, Inc. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech to support the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of our Venice campus, with occasional travel to other Loveland locations as needed. This full-time position plays an important role in helping ensure our facilities remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for the individuals we serve, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and comfortable completing a variety of light maintenance, groundskeeping, and facility support tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of interior spaces, restrooms, common areas, and campus grounds
- Perform light maintenance and basic repair tasks
- Assist with projects such as moving furniture, storing supplies, painting, power washing, gutter cleaning, floor buffing, and carpet or furniture cleaning
- Help keep dumpster and recycling areas clean, organized, and free of debris
- Identify and report maintenance needs and safety concerns to the Maintenance Coordinator
- Support the upkeep of Loveland buildings and grounds to organizational standards
- Travel occasionally to other Loveland locations to assist with maintenance needs as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior maintenance experience required
- Ability to safely use power tools
- Ability to complete physical tasks such as lifting, moving furniture, cleaning, and grounds work
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to push minimum of 50 pounds (power cleaning appliances)
- Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds (trash and supplies)
- Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) or higher degree
- Hold and maintain an active Florida driver license
- Ability to pass a drug screen, TB screen, and Level II background check
Loveland Center Inc is a AHCA-regulated facility. Florida law requires Level 2 background screening for all individuals working at such facilities.
