Role Description The Medical Assistant at Lotus Medical is a full-time, on-site role based in Boca Raton, FL. This role supports clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with in-office procedures and treatments. Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, managing scheduling and check-in/check-out processes, and maintaining accurate medical records and documentation in the electronic health record system. The Medical Assistant also supports lab draws and specimen handling, prepares and restocks supplies, reinforces patient education and instructions, and collaborates with the care team to deliver a respectful, compassionate, and efficient patient experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including clinical support, vital signs, and procedure preparation.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document patient information.
- Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office environment, including scheduling, check-in/check-out, and coordination of care.
- Candidates should possess Patient Care skills, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a focus on safety and comfort.
- Candidates should possess Medical Records management skills, including accurate charting, EHR use, and confidentiality practices.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification (e.g., CMA, RMA) preferred.
- Experience in wellness, or primary care settings is beneficial.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
