What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at The Lord Is My Help?
Overview: The Lord Is My Help, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is hiring! The Lord Is My Help is seeking a committed and responsible hire for the role of Assistant Manager. The Lord Is My Help is a community kitchen located in downtown Ocean Springs and is responsible for feeding over 100 people a day and managing an emergency food pantry, five days a week.
Job Description:
- Work alongside the General Manager and Kitchen Manager to assist with their duties
- General Project Management (i.e. gathering multiple quotes for projects, creating spreadsheets for delivery routes, outreach to Jackson County residents/schools, coordinating meetings with outside parties for building maintenance and upgrades, assist in ordering and coordination for Backpack Buddies/Turkey Baskets)
- Donations: Keep donation logs up to date and send them to our CPA. Write thank you notes for Feed the Need and quarterly giving statements.
- Generate Monthly Agency Reports
- Social Media: regular posting on Facebook and Instagram. Responsible for responding to all inquiries sent through Facebook, Instagram, and the website.
- Community Outreach for our services
- Fill in for Meals on Wheels delivery and Food Pantry when volunteers are unavailable
- Meals on Wheels interviewing
- Building Management (i.e.help up upkeep plant beds, shelving project, general organization, etc)
- Represent LIMH at various speaking engagements (Churches, civic organizations, volunteer groups)
- Must be proficient in microsoft office programs including: word, outlook, and excel.
- Must receive Servesafe certification (paid for by LIMH).
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands:
This job is moderately active and requires the ability to sustain considerable walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
