Summary

Loomis Village is seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Associate: Groundskeeper. If you thrive in the outdoors and enjoy collaborating with others, this is the perfect opportunity for you! You'll play a vital role in supporting current resident landscaping efforts for resident community initiatives, including maintaining our beautiful trails and community gardens and ensuring they're always attractive and functional for our residents and staff. This role is under supervision of Facilities Director and in partnership and collaboration with residents currently performing duties listed in this job description. Essential Functions

• Follows established policies and procedures to ensure optimal operation, maintenance, and condition of the facility's grounds. Perform and complete the daily responsibilities assigned by the Facilities Director utilizing skills such as trail maintenance (brush-hog, weed-whacking, pruning woodlot creep, root removal), woodlot management (clearing/cutting trees, removing invasive vines, planting saplings), gardening (weeding, pruning, planting, assisting resident volunteers) and all other duties as assigned (spreading ice melt, leaf blowing, power washing).
• Carries out maintenance services according to established timeframes, in a thoughtful, efficient, safe, and professional manner. Maintains safe, clean and orderly work areas. Maintain logs of services provided, materials used, time spent, and maintenance performed, through established documentation requirements.
• Comply with all applicable local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards, including but not limited to CARF/CCAC, Life safety, DPH, CMS, EOAI, OSHA, and NFPA. Implement corrective action and preventive measures. Assist with Maintaining department. records, etc.
• Communicate, respond, and cooperate effectively with: Facilities Director, Maintenance Supervisor, Marketing, all other staff, residents, contractors, vendors etc., with regard to all projects or repair details, including quality of workmanship, materials needed, timeline for completion, punch lists, resident requests, etc.
