Essential Functions
- Follows established policies and procedures to ensure optimal operation, maintenance, and condition of the facility's grounds. Perform and complete the daily responsibilities assigned by the Facilities Director utilizing skills such as trail maintenance (brush-hog, weed-whacking, pruning woodlot creep, root removal), woodlot management (clearing/cutting trees, removing invasive vines, planting saplings), gardening (weeding, pruning, planting, assisting resident volunteers) and all other duties as assigned (spreading ice melt, leaf blowing, power washing).
- Carries out maintenance services according to established timeframes, in a thoughtful, efficient, safe, and professional manner. Maintains safe, clean and orderly work areas. Maintain logs of services provided, materials used, time spent, and maintenance performed, through established documentation requirements.
- Comply with all applicable local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards, including but not limited to CARF/CCAC, Life safety, DPH, CMS, EOAI, OSHA, and NFPA. Implement corrective action and preventive measures. Assist with Maintaining department. records, etc.
- Communicate, respond, and cooperate effectively with: Facilities Director, Maintenance Supervisor, Marketing, all other staff, residents, contractors, vendors etc., with regard to all projects or repair details, including quality of workmanship, materials needed, timeline for completion, punch lists, resident requests, etc.
