What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at The Lonesome Pine?
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas
- Provide menus to guests and explain daily specials
- Take to go orders via phone and use Aloha POS system to enter orders & process payments
- Help servers ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to guests' tables
- Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness and proper set-up
- Assist in preparing dining areas for service, including setting tables and arranging decorations
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host/host or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
- Strong hospitality and guest relations skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be 14 years of age or older.
