Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, possess strong bartending skills, and be experienced in a fast-paced environments such as fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings. This role involves "front-of-house" responsibilities such as preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons, and "back-of-house" responsibilities including restocking, cleaning, table bussing, and other duties as assigned. Candidates with a solid understanding of food safety and food handling protocols, will excel in this position. Previous experience in retail math, cash handling, and hospitality is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate punctuality and dependability and display excellent time management, sales skills, and the ability to work efficiently during busy hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using The Lonesome Dove's POS system.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage cash transactions with precision, including cashiering and food handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
- Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking practices.
- Uphold all food safety regulations and ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Assist in setting up for special events such as banquets or private parties when required.
Experience
- Preferred experience as a bartender in bars, nightclubs, banquet halls, or catering environments.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn a POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele effectively.
- Experience in food industry settings involving serving, food safety, and food handling protocols.
- Knowledge of retail math, basic math skills for cash handling, and cashiering procedures.
- Prior experience working in hospitality or beverage service roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent time management skills.
