What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Subsistence Management Office (SSMO) Supervisor position at The Logistics Company?

Supervises personnel in the Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO). The SSMO is primarily an administrative and field ration mission providing support to active dining facilities, other military services, utilizing the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS), the Subsistence Total Order Receipt Electronic System (STORES) and various vendor contracts. The Supervisor provides direct supervision for requisition, receipt, storage, issue, inventory, accounting, inspection, turn-in and disposal functions of rations at the SSMO. Ensures operation is accomplished in accordance with AR 30-22, AR 385-10, DA PAM 30-22, AFMIS and STORES manuals and SSMO standing operating procedures (SOP). Support program initiatives and directives of the Installation Food Service Manager
(IFSM) by: writing local food service policy and procedures to be approved by the COR; conducting installation-wide monthly menu boards or as directed by the COR; conducting the food service awards program; submitting required reports; administering the Phillip A. Connelly
competition program for Fort Bragg units; managing the culinary arts training center; providing training to food service personnel as directed; and, operating and maintaining the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS).The supervisor ensures all tasks identified in the Performance Work Statement are completed in accordance with the Performance Requirements Summary and meet or exceed the Acceptable Quality Limit.
Specific Tasks:
- Provides direct supervision of processing subsistence (food) orders in applicable government systems, schedules all direct deliveries and the processing of daily receipts
- Downloads STORES catalog, Price Updates, Deletions and New items
- Manages document voucher control and the Voucher Register General Control Ledger
- Ensures the Master Item File updates are processed
- Manages and updates DSCP and Local Purchase contracts, Customer Information Files to PR Webb Process
- Coordinates and manages the processing of active army and reserve Field Accounts
- Maintains operational ration storage, accountability inventory, issues, and replenishment transactions
- Prepares food service-related reports and Contract Data Requirement Lists monthly to the Government
