We are seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our Food Services Department. This role is responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and supervising dietary operations to ensure high-quality food service and nutritional care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department.
- Ensure high-quality nutritional services are delivered daily.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dietary environment in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage ordering, receiving, inspecting, and storing food, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Oversee departmental budget, staffing, recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Support positive resident, family, and staff interactions and promote exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Prior Food Service Supervisor or Dietary Manager experience required; minimum three years in long-term care preferred.
- Must hold (or be able to obtain) one of the following:
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM),
- Associate degree in Food Service Management or Nutrition (DT or DTR), or
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work positively and professionally with residents, families, and staff.
