Job Title: Dishwasher

Job Summary:

The Dishwasher plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen at The Local on 50th. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and glassware, as well as assisting in maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness and organization. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate, clean, and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment according to safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
• Maintain cleanliness of dish area, including floors, walls, sinks, and surrounding spaces.
• Ensure all cleaned items are properly stored in designated areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organization tasks as needed.
• Empty trash containers and clean floors at the end of shifts.
• Check dishwasher operation regularly and report any maintenance or repair needs to the kitchen manager.
• Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with local and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment safely.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a positive attitude.

Compensation and Schedule:

• Hourly pay based on experience.
