JLead Accountant – San Diego (Real Estate Private Lender)
A senior, management-level accounting role supporting the CFO and President, with responsibility for overseeing accounting operations, investor relations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting and communications for ~300 investors (distributions, statements, inquiries)
- Supervise and train junior accounting staff
- Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, and income allocation
- Monitor cash flow and support operational needs
- Prepare financial reports for the advisory board
- Handle payroll review and savings plan oversight
- Ensure regulatory compliance (SEC/state filings, CFL, HMDA)
- Lead year-end audit prep and assist with tax reporting (including K-1s)
- Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance CPA (required)
- 10 years experience (real estate preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and systems skills
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with databases/SQL
- Experience with QuickBooks and process improvement
Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
