Living Well Counseling & Consulting is seeking a detail-driven Billing Specialist to serve as the in-house subject matter expert for Ensora TheraNest and all revenue cycle operations within our growing mental health therapy practice.
This is a part-time, in-person 1099 contractor position due to the sensitivity of protected health information. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience billing for mental health services and understands the full lifecycle of claims management, denials, collections, and EHR administration.
Position Overview
The Billing Specialist will be the point person for LWCC’s EHR and billing operations. This role requires ownership, responsiveness, and the ability to manage insurance claims, payer follow-up, and client balances without constant oversight.
You will serve as the internal expert on TheraNest and ensure our practice maintains clean claims, minimal denials, and consistent cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Ensora TheraNest
- Submit and monitor insurance claims for all payers
- Manage clearinghouse rejections and payer denials
- Post ERAs and reconcile payments
- Run and manage aging reports
- Follow up with insurance companies regarding outstanding claims
- Follow up with clients regarding balances and collections
- Monitor claim accuracy prior to submission
- Identify trends in denials and implement corrective action
- Maintain organization and compliance within the EHR
- Act as the primary billing point of contact for the practice
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Minimum 1 year of Ensora TheraNest experience preferred
- Experience billing mental health therapy services strongly preferred
- Experience with all insurance types including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Knowledge of CPT codes such as 90791, 90834, 90837
- Familiarity with telehealth billing and modifiers such as 95 or GT
- Strong understanding of claim lifecycle from submission through payment posting
- High level of accuracy and documentation discipline
Compensation
