As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for planning enriching activities, maintaining open communication with parents, and ensuring compliance with all safety and educational standards. Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning, social skills, and motor skills enhancement.
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and caregiver staff to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate childhood development principles, activity planning for children, and behavior management strategies.
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to child supervision protocols, classroom safety procedures, and mandated reporting laws.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to childhood development or behavior.
- Maintain detailed records of children's activities, health information, and developmental progress in compliance with licensing requirements.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports children with disabilities or special needs through tailored activities and individualized care plans.
- Stay current on best practices in early childhood education, preschooler care, infant care, and classroom experience to continually improve teaching methods.
- Conduct first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure immediate response to emergencies involving children.
- Support the overall well-being of children by practicing caregiving techniques that promote emotional security and positive behavior management.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in daycare settings or preschool environments, including classroom experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development stages from infancy through elementary school-age children care.
- Prior teaching experience with young children, including activity planning for children and youth programs teaching experience.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong background in childcare, babysitting, caregiving roles, or preschool experience that highlights your ability to manage child supervision effectively.
