Position SummaryAs a Sous Chef at The Little Room, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen team by cooking and preparing menu items. You will be responsible for stocking food preparation stations, following recipes accurately, and ensuring a clean and organized working environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Follow safe food service protocols in accordance with Health Department standardsPrepare and cook menu items in accordance with company standardsSupport the Head Chef by following directions and completing assigned tasksStock and organize food preparation stations before and after each shiftFollow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food qualityMaintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following food safety regulationsCollaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient serviceAssist with inventory management and rotating stock as neededMinimum QualificationsMinimum of one to three years of restaurant experience requiredExperience in food preparation and presentation requiredCA Food Handler certification requiredPrevious experience managing cost controlsDesire to learn and grow with a top-notch foodservice companyAbility to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidaysStrong English language skills preferred, bilingual a plus The Little Room is dedicated to fostering a fair and inclusive work environment for all employees and applicants.
