What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreational Gymnastics Coach position at The Little Gym of Aberdeen?
We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as recreational gymnastics coaches and party leaders.
Hours needed are afternoons (3:45 - 7:30pm) and weekends.
Looking for someone with prior knowledge of teaching gymnastics/tumbling/dance.
The Little Gym offers classes for ages 1 – 12 years old, birthday parties, and camps during school breaks. Whether you’re coaching a class or hosting a fun-filled party, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children, the ability to inspire, and a commitment to creating a safe and engaging environment for all participants.
Duties
- Lead and facilitate gymnastics classes, birthday parties, or camp activities for children of various ages and skill levels. (We provide lesson plans)
- Create a fun, energetic, and safe environment where children are motivated and challenged to learn new skills and have a great time.
- Track progress, give feedback, and adjust as needed so every child is supported and engaged.
- Assist with enrolling new students and customer communication.
- Help keep a clean, safe and organized facility.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians, providing updates on the child’s progress, and addressing any concerns as needed.
- Foster an atmosphere of teamwork and camaraderie among children and staff.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Gymnastics coaching or instruction
- Childcare or youth sports coaching
- Physical education or sports training
- Experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting
- CPR and/or First Aid Certified
Typical shifts might be 8:45am-2pm or 3:30pm-7:00pm. A mix of morning, afternoon and weekend hours needed. Weekend hours may vary due to party bookings.
Pay is hourly plus tips for parties.
