The Little Duck Collective, PLLC is looking to hire a compassionate, independent, and creative Pediatric Physical Therapist. Our practice follows a child-led, strengths-based model of therapy. This position may be filled by either a part-time (minimum of 10 treatment hours/week) or full-time therapist (beginning as part-time and growing to a full-time position). Please note that the Early Intervention credentialing process may take up to 6-8 weeks before you can begin to see clients.

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to children in the home and daycare/school settings. This therapist will be primarily seeing clients through the Illinois Early Intervention program with additional cases through private pay/insurance.
You will be expected to cover areas in the city of Chicago and/or in the Chicago suburbs depending on your availability. You will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating disorders in pediatric patients, with the goal of improving their motor development and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough evaluations to assess physical and neurological disorders in pediatric clients.
Determine the underlying causes and severity of physical challenges.
Formulate individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Therapy and Intervention:
Provide evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to each child's specific needs and goals.
Implement a range of therapeutic exercises, techniques, and strategies to improve motor skills, range of motion, and positioning.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to track progress and meet objectives.
Collaboration:
Work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy.
Offer guidance and training to parents and caregivers on how to support their child's physical development at home.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress reports, and treatment plans.
Generate reports to communicate progress and recommendations to clients and their support network.
Continuing Education:
Stay current with the latest research, trends, and best practices in pediatric physical therapy.
Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Compliance and Ethical Practices:
Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines in the field of physical therapy.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure the privacy of patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Illinois state licensure and certification as a Physical Therapist.
- New grads welcome to apply. 1-3 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy is preferred.
- Illinois Early Intervention credential or interest in pursuing one.
- Experience working in home care, schools, and/or daycares a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to connect with children and their families.
- Flexibility to travel and work in various settings, including homes, schools, and daycares.

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
