Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote infants’ physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support infants with feeding, diapering, and nap routines following health and safety guidelines
- Engage children through age-appropriate play, sensory activities, and social interactions to encourage exploration and learning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that adheres to licensing standards and best practices in childcare
- Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors to inform individualized care plans
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering a nurturing atmosphere
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and effective communication with families about their child's progress
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants or in a daycare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, especially related to infants’ growth stages
- Experience with classroom management techniques that promote safety and positive interactions
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices, including activities for toddlers and preschoolers
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is expected
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining patience, compassion, and professionalism
