Duties
- Design, develop, and implement engaging literacy curricula aligned with educational standards and learner needs using instructional design principles such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation).
- Provide coaching and professional development sessions for teachers on effective literacy instruction, classroom management, and the integration of learning technology tools like Blackboard and LMS platforms.
- Develop and deliver training modules utilizing SCORM-compliant content to ensure compatibility across various Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Utilize adult education methodologies to support ongoing teacher training and student literacy programs, ensuring accessible and inclusive learning experiences.
- Create comprehensive content for workshops, online courses, and instructional materials using Adobe Captivate and other multimedia tools to enhance engagement.
- Collaborate with educators to adapt curriculum materials for diverse learners, incorporating best practices in classroom experience and presentation skills.
- Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis, feedback collection, and continuous improvement strategies to optimize literacy initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching literacy or language arts at various educational levels with a strong understanding of classroom dynamics.
- Expertise in instructional design models such as ADDIE and familiarity with SCORM standards for e-learning content development.
- Skilled in project management to coordinate multiple training sessions, curriculum updates, and technology integrations simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Blackboard LMS or similar learning management systems, including content development and course administration.
- Knowledge of adult education principles combined with excellent communication skills to facilitate effective training sessions.
- Experience with learning technology tools such as Adobe Captivate, SCORM packages, and other content creation software.
