Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions, handle cash and card payments, and give correct change.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring proper merchandising and stocking of products.
- Engage customers with product demos and suggest complementary items through upselling techniques to enhance sales.
- Manage inventory by assisting with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Support team members with cashiering duties during busy periods or when supervising experience is required for leadership roles.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and confidently.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
