About the Job:
The Pre-Production Supervisor leads the Pre-Production team, ensuring the efficient and accurate preparation of products from design to production. This role oversees departmental processes, maintains standards, trains team members, and manages workflow while supporting cross-functional collaboration with Production, Customer Service, and Product Development teams. The Pre-Production Supervisor ensures timely completion of work, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and fosters a culture of accountability and quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, develop, train, and coordinate Pre-Production staff on department processes and standards.
- Evaluate employee performance and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Inspire, motivate, and influence team members to deliver high-quality, accurate work.
- Facilitate individual and group meetings, providing feedback and coaching to support team growth.
Process Management
- Maintain and optimize Pre-Production processes, standards, and documentation.
- Oversee workflow including move-to-production, markers, web orders, project status updates, and grading corrections.
- Facilitate quality assurance checks of team members’ work to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Support New Product clean-up, pattern custom sizing, and marker creation.
- Coordinate and delegate web sizing requests, inspections, and alterations with timely follow-through.
- Ensure accurate markers, timely fixes, and movement of printed markers/web orders each day.
Metrics & Goals
- Set meaningful departmental goals aligned with company initiatives and monitor metrics to track performance.
- Plan, assign, and ensure work is completed on time, balancing priorities and resources effectively.
- Complete Rocks, company initiatives, and project plans as assigned.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Customer Service, and Design teams to resolve issues and provide clear communication.
- Investigate and propose new technology or tools to improve Pre-Production processes and assist with budgeting decisions.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Pre-Production experience, 1 year of TLU Pre-Production Lead experience, or 1 year college degree in Apparel or Business Management.
- Minimum 2 years of Lead or Supervisor experience in a related role.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Details:
- Wage is dependent on experience; range$22-31 hourly.
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
- To ensure customer needs are met, this position may occasionally require working more than 45 hours per week to accommodate business demands and responsibilities.
- Classification: Non-Exempt
- Reports to: Product Development Manager.
