We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit. This is a temporary position, with possibility to convert into Full Time position.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance when needed
  • Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, benefits, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Act as a liaison with other departments or functions (recruiting, payroll, benefits etc.)
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing offers of employment, send out announcements, etc.
  • Responsible for the overall recruitment function of the hotel
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team’s agenda
  • Evaluate and implement training programs
  • Coordinate and perform new hire orientations
  • Ensure performance reviews are conducted properly and timely
  • Support the HR Coordinator in the onboarding process and updating new hire records
  • Responsible for unemployment claims, including responses, appeals and hearings
  • Ensure employees are developed and utilized to their maximum potential by monitoring training programs
  • Perform exit interviews
  • Responsible for document management, updates and translations
  • Oversee benefit enrollment education and accuracy
  • Review payroll for accuracy
  • Assist in recommending and supporting employee relations programs
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
  • Maintain “open door” communication with employees
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback
  • Maintain awareness of documentation needed and retained in employee files


Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management a plus
  • Bi/Multi-Lingual a plus
  • Two (2) years’ experience as an HR Manager
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP, Paycom)
  • Ability to work with ATS software
  • In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
  • Familiarity with social media recruiting
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Work well under pressure, requires being a team player
