Purpose
To assist department supervisor as required, including assuming all duties of supervisor in his/her absence.
Job Description (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Assist supervisor in daily activities of the receiving dock and office, including adherence to housekeeping requirements.
- Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain EHS standards of the department.
- Lead assigned areas in efficient, cost effective, and proactive methods of operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory of stock locations.
- Use RF Scan guns or Computer to perform required transactions in SAP.
- Assist in expediting parts to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct and direct Root Cause Analysis and initiate corrective action for daily issues.
- Assist supervisor in coordinating daily work assignments of personnel including scheduling of hours.
- Conduct training as needed to ensure a skilled workforce.
- Work as a cross-functional team member to assist other departments in achieving corporate goals and objectives.
- Participate in physical inventories with higher level of responsibility.
- Serves as second in command in absence of supervisor.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
Basic Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 years Warehouse, Receiving and/or Shipping experience.
- The ability to process figures and maintain neat and accurate records.
- Ability to train and issue instructions to departmental personnel.
- Ability to handle a constantly changing series of priorities.
- Must be knowledgeable of Lincoln part identification and print systems.
- Knowledge of the purchasing computer system, materials management and inventory control.
- Proficient in the use of SAP software used in the Warehouse, Receiving and Shipping operation
- Strong Computer skills in Excel and Flexnet
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent safety and attendance record.
