Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Forklift Service Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, including forklifts, heavy machinery, and related components. Your expertise will keep our fleet operating at peak performance and ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
Duties
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on forklifts, cranes, excavators, and other heavy equipment using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals.
- Conduct mechanical repairs such as brake repair, transmission servicing, hydraulic system maintenance, suspension adjustments, and alignment.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication techniques to complete repairs efficiently.
- Diagnose electrical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and electrical schematics; repair wiring harnesses and electronic components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including tire service, fluid changes, air brake inspections, and diesel engine repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and operate heavy equipment safely during repair or installation procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dealership or industrial equipment service with a strong mechanical background.
- Familiarity with OEM parts, schematics, and diagnostic procedures for forklifts and heavy machinery such as excavators and cranes.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and vehicle maintenance techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
