About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician / Supplier Quality Representative to join our Vendor Relations team and work full-time on-site at a key manufacturing partner facility in Hanover, PA. In this role, you will serve as the company's day-to-day quality representative within the supplier's operation, ensuring products are manufactured, inspected, documented, and shipped in accordance with required specifications. You will work closely with the supplier's production and quality teams while maintaining regular communication with internal Quality and Vendor Relations teams. This is a hands-on, shop-floor position. The majority of your time will be spent within the manufacturing environment monitoring quality, validating shipments, maintaining inspection records, and providing visibility into production progress and potential issues. This is also an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Vendor Relations, or Operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform final inspections of finished products prior to shipment.
  • Conduct sample audits and quality verification checks to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Capture and maintain photographic records of finished goods before dispatch.
  • Verify shipment quantities, part numbers, labels, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Ensure shipped products accurately match purchase orders and production requirements.
  • Perform routine inventory and raw material stock counts.
  • Verify material availability and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Monitor daily production activity and provide updates on project progress.
  • Identify and communicate quality, schedule, inventory, or production concerns.
  • Escalate issues promptly to the Vendor Relations Manager and Corporate Quality team.
  • Support corrective action activities and follow-up investigations where required.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Build effective working relationships with supplier personnel while representing the company's interests on-site.


Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, quality, or industrial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies and quality concerns.
  • Comfortable working independently within a manufacturing facility.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide clear and timely reporting to multiple stakeholders.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.

Preferred

  • Experience in steel fabrication, metal manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
  • Previous quality inspection or quality assurance experience.
  • Familiarity with welding, fabrication, powder coating, painting, or assembly operations.
  • Experience performing inventory counts, shipping verification, or manufacturing audits.
  • Ability to read basic manufacturing drawings and product documentation.
