About Us:
The Lighting Geek is a custom outdoor lighting company based in Elk Grove, CA. Known for our high-end designs and features on HGTV, we specialize in crafting stunning lighting experiences that transform landscapes into works of art. Our team is passionate about design, detail, and delivering badass results.
We’re currently looking for an Apprentice Electrician to join our crew and learn the trade from some of the best in the business.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist journeyman electricians on outdoor lighting projects, both Line voltage and low voltage
- Install low-voltage lighting systems, including trenching, wiring, fixtures, and transformers
- Help maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Use tools and equipment to complete hands-on outdoor installations
- Learn and grow within the electrical trade and lighting design
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong interest in electrical work or the construction trade
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Basic knowledge of hand tools (we’ll train you on the rest)
- Must have an active ET (Electrician Trainee) card
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

Schedule:
- Fulltime / Part-time
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts (start times may vary based on job site)
Pay:
$18 – $25 per hour (DOE)
