We are seeking compassionate and dedicated New Mexico Independent Licensed Mental Health Therapists and LMHC, LMSW, LMAFT therapists.
This is a W2: starting between 40-50 per billable hour, and administrative hours included (depending on experience and license): PTO is offered, but no benefits at this time.
The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to kids, adolescents, and individuals facing various mental health challenges, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches.
This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral management, diagnostic evaluation, and the ability to address gender issues in counseling. The therapist will work collaboratively in a private office, ensuring clients receive comprehensive care tailored to their needs.
Duties
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
- Provide therapy sessions utilizing various modalities, including but not limited to dance therapy and applied behavior analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with clinic policies and regulations.
- Address gender issues in counseling, ensuring a supportive environment for all clients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the practice to coordinate care and support for clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid license as an Independent Mental Health Therapist or Non-Independent Licensed Therapist or equivalent certification.
- Experience in behavior management and diagnostic evaluation is preferred.
- Familiarity with DSM-5 coding for mental health diagnoses is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Previous experience working in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
