Role Description
The Board Member will contribute to strategic decision-making, governance, and oversight of The Light House’s organizational goals and objectives. Responsibilities include participating in board meetings, providing fiscal oversight, guiding organizational strategy, supporting fundraising efforts, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Aurora, CO, permitting some remote work while requiring periodic on-site presence for board meetings and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Leadership, strategy development, and governance experience
- Experience in finance, fundraising, or resource development, preferred
- Knowledge of non-profit operations, strategic planning, and compliance, preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to the mission and values of The Light House
- Ability to dedicate time for board responsibilities and attend meetings in person twice a year
- Experience working with community organizations or government agencies is a plus
- Connected and networks in the community, a plus
