Host
We are looking for a welcoming and professional Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor, creating a positive first impression for our guests. As the Host, you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring a smooth flow of service.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Maintain an organized waiting list and manage wait times effectively
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Answer phone calls and handle inquiries about the restaurant and reservations
- Assist with organizing and setting up the dining area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
- Assist with special requests and accommodations for guests
- Always uphold health and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional service
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
General Physical Demands for the Position:
- Hosts will regularly stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, turn, lift, walk, and carry and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
