Position Summary:
The Certificate Specialist will be part of the Commercial Insurance team and help continue delivering exceptional service and accuracy to clients. This position requires great attention to detail in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the Commercial Insurance team by processing Certificates of Insurance and Evidences of Property Insurance efficiently and accurately.
- Review and interpret insurance requirements from contracts, lenders, and client specifications, ensuring compliance with current policy coverages.
- Identify and escalate any compliance gaps or discrepancies to the Commercial Insurance Account Manager.
- Follow agency standards and best practices to maintain compliance and reduce errors & omissions exposure.
- Assist in promoting and supporting electronic distribution of Certificates and Evidences.
- Identify potential cross-sell, up-sell, or account rounding opportunities during the compliance review process.
- Support the team with miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned — flexibility and teamwork are key.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within commercial insurance.
- Construction experience preferred.
- Active Property & Casualty license or willingness to obtain one within your first 90 days.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills — clear, precise, and professional, even under deadlines.
- Comfortable prioritizing and making methodical decisions quickly.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development (college degree preferred).

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
