About the Role
The Steven D. Levitt Teaching Fellowship is for those who care about young people and want to help mentor them in their education journey but haven't followed a traditional teaching path. As a Levitt Lab Teaching Fellow, you'll work as a Guide at one of our Lab locations, joining one of our founding schools and working at the forefront of Steven Levitt's movement to reimagine education.

What You'll Do
As a Fellow, you will serve as a Guide for high school students, bringing your curiosity and love of learning into the classroom. The Guide role centers around holistic student development, focusing on guidance, inspiration, and mentorship rather than traditional classroom lecturing or grading. You will also:
- Have a small “house” of students whose academic progress you oversee, and with whom you build close relationships.
- Support students in either humanities or STEM disciplines throughout their educational journey
- Help oversee In-Depth Explorations (IDEs), our project-based learning program. Advise students in choosing and executing novel IDEs.
- Lead Seminars and Wonder Sessions for students. Seminars are socratic conversations that encourage students to engage with political, philosophical, economic, anthropological, and scientific questions. Wonder Sessions are weekly sessions that inspire awe in students by shining light on a particular worldly phenomenon.
- Participate in strategy meetings with the centralized TLL team, building problem-solving capacities and helping to shape this movement
