Summary: 

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive dealer acquisition and portfolio growth by building strategic partnerships that fuel transaction volume and long-term loyalty.  


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Acquire New Dealers – Execute targeted sales activities to onboard high-potential dealers into the LeverEdge network of dealers.  
  2. Maximize Existing Volume – Nurture and manage current dealer relationships to optimize transaction throughput and revenue.
  3. Build Enduring Partnerships – Cultivate deep rapport and trust with dealers to create sustainable, mutually beneficial relationships. 
  4. Oversee Ethical Alignment – Provide proactive guidance and oversight on dealer sales and marketing initiatives to ensure full compliance with LeverEdge’s ethical standards.
  5. Train for Success – Provide comprehensive training to Dealers on industry best practices in water conditioning, enhancing their technical expertise, sales effectiveness, and overall profitability while supporting LeverEdge’s strategic goals.
  6. Protect the Customer Experience – Resolve concerns swiftly. Address and resolve customer concerns involving LeverEdge quickly and professionally to protect the overall customer experience.
  7. Collaborate on Onboarding – Work closely with ISPC to ensure a smooth, coordinated onboarding experience for all new dealers. 
  8. Drive Incentive Programs – Promote and participate in the annual dealer/merchant incentive vacation trip and other promotional initiatives.  
  9. Travel to Engage – Attend trade shows, conduct face-to-face dealer meetings, and lead on-site training sessions from time to time.  
  10. Mediate Dealer Conflicts – Manage and resolve dealer-to-dealer disputes over shared customers or personnel, preserving network harmony and fairness. 


Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

A high school diploma/GED is required for this position, and a bachelor’s degree is preferable to help this position reach its full potential. 4-6 years of sales experience is required for this position.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The Business Development Manager position requires experience in business-to-business sales and management. Strong communication, both orally and written, sales, and organizational skills are required. A bilingual person, proficient in both English and Spanish, would be a great asset, but isn’t a requirement. This position requires minimum math skills and high levels of language, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolutions skills. Proficiency with Microsoft office suite software is required.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Duties are performed primarily in an office setting. Infrequent travel to attend meetings and visit locations throughout the country is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, and hear. This position requires the ability to operate computers and other standard office equipment, such as a telephone and a copier/printer.
